Moving out of Ruts!

This can be a bit of a difficult time for all the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). There are seven transiting planets in fixed signs right now. The Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio, Mars in Leo and Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius this puts mega amounts of pressure on Taurus, Leo, Scorpion and Aquarius to make changes and figure out what they want. Neptune adds confusion and a desire to move beyond the mundane into a purposeful direction. If you feel your life is in a rut it would be important to start having a dialogue: with a close friend, mentor or counselor. Brainstorm. Discover what excites you: when are you most happiest, maybe a hobby is actually a life calling. Action will be the tricky part at this time. Virgo the Worker Bee

Virgo's are thinkers who enjoy analyzing, planning and then working hard to complete what they have started. They enjoy tangible results and rewards; kibitzing and lollygagging is not something Virgo's can tolerate for any length of time. They would rather do it themselves then rely on others for completing projects or tasks. Famous Virgo, Mother Teresa said "Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person," which really expresses their commitment and drive to accomplish and to be independent in the process.

Virgo's are often attracted to work situations that are lacking in organization and follow through. They love solving a mystery and bringing order to chaos. Their forte is making wonderful changes. Virgo's are adaptable people who have internal discipline and realize that change starts from the inside and vibrates out. Leo Tolstoy is credited with this observation, "Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." Author H.G. Wells also chimed in with this Virgo gem; "Adapt or perish, now as ever, is nature's inexorable imperative."
They can end up complaining about their work because they choose positions which make them indispensable with heavy work loads and high frustration levels. But they keep on working to maintain what that have implemented with the hopes that leading by example may convince others of its merit.
They have high ideals and hold themselves and others to those ideals; analyzing deeply the consequences of those actions. This is emphasized by H.G. Wells, "It is not reasonable that those who gamble with men's lives should not pay with their own." They have a strong sense of right and wrong which can make them seem critical but it is their keen powers of observation and introspection that compel Virgo. Leonard Cohen expands this idea, "Let judges secretly despair of justice: their verdicts will be more acute. Let generals secretly despair of triumph; killing will be defamed. Let priests secretly despair of faith: their compassion will be true."

Cancer the Sensitive Survivor

"No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit," well known Cancer; Helen Keller.
Cancer Sun Signs have been pegged as being pessimistic because they are prone to mood swings. But with a deeper look and a little understanding we can see that Cancers are very sensitive to negativity and criticism. They need gentle coaxing to come out of their shell and trust you; this is because when Cancer's lend their heart to someone they give their undying love and loyalty. It can be a devastating blow if they are deceived. A Cancer sentiment shared by Helen Keller; "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."
Cancers need to follow their heart, without doing this it is impossible for them to make their dreams a reality. They are assertive go getters that are propelled by their dreams; without purpose or family to goad them on; they can feel like a ship cast adrift. "All brave men love; for he only is brave who has affections to fight for, whether in the daily battle of life, or in physical contests," said by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Like the crab, Cancers are tenacious, they have incredible vision in business as well as within their relationships; P. T. Barnum summed up Cancers tenacity; "Whatever you do, do it with all your might. Work at it, early and late, in season and out of season, not leaving a stone unturned, and never deferring for a single hour that which can be done just as well now."
Depth of emotion and emotional experiences are part of being a Cancer Sun sign. Their experiences are engraved on their hearts, and they never forget any of the lessons life has taught them, good or bad. Nathaniel Hawthorne describes his own feelings on the subject; "What other dungeon is so dark as one's own heart! What jailer so inexorable as one's self!"
Through it all Cancer Sun Signs have many dualistic aspects to their natures and they are constantly seeking emotional balance. When a Cancer fulfills their aspirations and they create the life they want to live they do whatever is necessary to maintain it. John Quincy Adams said it best, "Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air."

Aquarius the Progressive Thinker

Aquarius is concerned with the future, they are visionary, inventive, unorthodox, original and they seldom follow the crowd.
They enjoy being different (once they become adults) and they put a different spin on the ordinary.

They are intellectually independent as well as persistent; they are able to pursue an idea, philosophy or theory more thoroughly than any other sign in the Zodiac. And because of this there are more inventors born under the sign of Aquarius.

Aquarians enjoy people and relate to a diverse group of friends yet they never lose their individuality.

Aquarians are concerned with equal rights, they are open minded and believe in tolerance for the weaknesses of others and they believe in improving the world they live in. Since we have entered the Age of Aquarians (2000) many
of these concerns have become highlighted. Equality and social justice will continue to become of even greater importance in this millennia.

They are naturally detached and don't usually take other people's behavior personally.
But sometimes it can be confused with not caring, it is important for Aquarius to let others know the extent of their caring.

Uranus is the perfect ruler for Aquarius and was discovered in 1781. It rules inventions, sudden events, shocks, revolutions, earthquakes, Astrology and the Age of Aquarius. Uranus is considered a planet of the future, it is associated with electricity, and the beginning of modern science.

Leo the Lion Hearted!


Leo's have an exuberance for life and a love for others that is unmatched.

They are loyal beyond question. They possess a commanding presence and they are extremely creative. They bring life to anything they are involved in. They are proud and sensitive people who are easily affected by their environment and others.

They are generous, kind and open hearted people who believe in others, which often gives their family and friends the courage to pursue their dreams. They are affectionate and warm and have a lust for life!

Leo's Achilles heel is pride, they need respect over admiration even though they seek the latter. Sometimes because of their vulnerability, it is difficult for them to admit how they feel or when they are wrong.
